I’ve been going to the same Starbucks for 3 years now and in the last year I’ve made relationships with all the baristas to the point of them calling me the “store mom”. They tell me their lives, we’re connected on facebook, I celebrate all their birthdays and graduations and other important occasions. Well, a couple months ago one of the gals was telling me that she and her boyfriend could really use some counseling and I said that I could help with that and if she ever wanted to meet sometime, to let me know…well last week we got together for 3 hours and it was awesome! There’s another gal who works there who saw us having coffee and she facebooked me that day and said “I want to have coffee with you too!” so we’re in the works for that..AND we just had dinner with another barista that works there and his fiancé who are believers, but a bit churchy. We were able to minister to this couple tonight and also cast vision for movement in terms of their influence during his shifts with his co-workers. He agreed that God is doing something in this little store so it was a fun time and we challenged their paradigm in a big way. He couldn’t believe that this particular gal met with me and was interested in spiritual things. He kept saying “I’ve invited her to church for over a year and she’s never come with us, but she’ll meet with you!”. It really got his wheels turning and I’m so pumped! Paul and I are going to have a party at our house in the next couple months just to say, hey, we love you guys! I know the manager and she can pull some strings and have employees from a different store cover the shift for the time of our party so that no one we “love” will get left out…probably not until August since we have a lot going on right now, but I just had to share this because I know you’ll celebrating with us!
Talk to you soon,
